Dino Donaldson, of Caxton Road, Ealing is accused of the murder of Anojan Gnaneswaran, who died after being stabbed at Strawberry Hill station just after 11.50pm on January 8.
Donaldson will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today (February 13) charged with murder and two counts of intent to supply a Class A drug.
Anojan’s family has since paid tribute to their “much-loved” son and brother who was a third-year university student.
The family said: “Anojan was a much-loved son and brother, and we are devastated that his young life has been ended in this way.
“He was in his third year at university studying accounting and finance and he was so excited for his future.
“He excelled at all sports and had achieved first-dan black belt in karate – he competed in the World and European championships in karate, and we will all miss him so much.”
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “A 19-year-old man is due to appear at court this morning (13 February) charged in connection to a fatal stabbing in Twickenham on Monday 8 January.
“Dino Donaldson, 19, of Caxton Road, Ealing, will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court charged with one count of murder, and two counts of possession with intent to supply (Class A).
“British Transport Police were called to Strawberry Hill railway station at 11.53pm on 8 January following reports of a stabbing.
“Officers quickly attended alongside colleagues from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, however sadly a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.”
