Simon Adingra, a Cote d’Ivoire youngster, has described the Elephants’ victory over Nigeria as one of the best moments of his career.
Adingra recorded two assists as Cote d’Ivoire defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the final.
The Brighton & Hove Albion player was nearly unstoppable in the game, with his sprints and dribbles causing difficulties for Nigeria’s defenders.
The winger was named Man of the Match after the game.
Adingra also received the Young Player of the Tournament award.
He also complimented his colleagues’ efforts in capturing their third championship in history.
“We did it together, we’re Africa champions and it’s incredible. I’ve just experienced one of the most beautiful moments of my life, and that’s down to the effort of everyone in the team,” he told CAFonline.com.
